The Awards 2009 with Russian Standard Vodka
The Q Awards 2010 saw an impressive list of talented musical talent all gathered in the same room to celebrate another fantastic year. Paul McCartney accepted the classic album award for Band On The Run saying, "to all the young bands out there...which is pretty much everyone...keep rocking! I love you."
Florence Welch was a the success story though as she managed to scoop two awards. The red-haired icon won gongs for both the Best Trackof the year sponsored by Barclaycard Unwind and also the overall award for Best Female . Elsewhere the Best Album prize was in the hands of Brooklyn-based outfit, The National for their incredible breakthrough record High Violet. Meek frontman Matt Berninger thanked Q for the award and dryly claimed the group had now found superstardom. All the members of Take That turned up, including Robbie, to be accepted into Q's Hall Of Fame. The Best Act In The World was presented by Q's Editor-In-Chief, Paul Rees, to the hugely successfulKasabian.
